Project ROPEs was founded in 2019, and has since then been built from the ground up by the Executive Officers, now a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In the 2019–20 school year, Project ROPEs hosted workshops at Jane Lathrop Stanford Middle School in Palo Alto, CA, helping students with their project for the regional Synopsys Silicon Valley Science and Technology Championship. During the summer of 2020, Project ROPEs plans on hosting weekly online workshops teaching the Python & Research-Oriented Programming (PROP) workshops.
