Project ROPEs: Research Opportunities with Programming Experiences
Who We Are
Project ROPEs is a student-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to introducing students to the opportunities in research. With an engaging curriculum, we support student volunteers in teaching the basics of research to middle school students in their local communities.
“To teach the fundamentals of research and programming to students, guiding them on their journeys of scientific research.“
Research Crash Course
For the 2020-21 school year, we are offering remote RC² classes from mid-October through March, guiding middle school students in conducting science fair project of their own.
What is the format of the classes?
The class will be completely online, with 10 virtual sessions spanning mid-October through March. Students will also have periodic check-ins with mentors.
Who can register?
Any rising/current middle schoolers (6th-8th grades) can attend! Since our sessions are completely virtual, students from anywhere across the country can join.
How much do the classes cost?
All of our programs are offered for free. However, donations are greatly appreciated, and will go directly into our operations. Suggested donation: $100
What projects can students do?
Students can choose any project that interests them! Our high school mentors will guide each student throughout the process, from writing the proposal to presenting to judges.
